Location
Reviews and Ratings
I absolutely loved the hotel's location in the Jardins neighborhood, surrounded by upscale restaurants and close to all the posh shops on Oscar Freire Street. The rooms were clean and comfy, and the staff, while struggling with English, made an effort to improve our stay. The dining experience was satisfactory, and the facilities offered everything we needed for a pleasant stay.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of highs and lows. The rooms, although a bit old and in need of remodeling, were quiet, thanks to excellent soundproofing, and had all the necessary amenities like a flat screen TV and air conditioning to combat the summer heat. The separate kitchen, lovely marble bathroom, and the large room layout with a room divider added to the comfort of the stay. On the downside, the service was extremely unprofessional and unfriendly, as the staff didn't speak English, only Portuguese. The location, although superbly placed in the elegant Jardins neighborhood near top shopping streets, felt a bit fake and could have been in any big city. The dining experience, while adequate, wasn't exceptional, even though the breakfast offered a variety of items to start the day.
The hotel room I booked, although advertised as a business suite, turned out to be exceptionally tiny, making it challenging to move around comfortably. The property itself seems dated and would benefit from a refurbishment. On the positive side, the room features a small living room, a kitchenette with a bar fridge, and a good-sized bathroom.
